There’s no way to have an actual discussion on tumblr. Nor is there a way to dislike a post.

Since there’s no way to effectively tell someone how full of shit they are, the site encourages hugboxing and echo chambers of the highest caliber resulting in a bunch of self centered assholes that think that because a lot of people agree with them they’re automatically right due to ad populi fallacies.

That plus teenage girls/social justice tards = perfect storm of self involvement. Tumblr is all about the individual saying “look how special I am and agree”.

4chan is the opposite of that. It encourages anonymity and levels the playing field. Everyone is anonymous, and thus no one post is more valuable than another. Everyone is suspect and full of shit, and in fact if people agree with you that doesn’t mean your argument has value because we’ll just accuse each other of samefagging.

4chan is the master race..go there for some actual discussion versus “omg bby you’re so perfect <33”

Why are Avatarfags shipping Korra and Asami together?

Asami hasn’t even appeared in a fucking episode yet…we know nothing about her or her personality. Fandoms should have a rule (or precedent): Don’t ship a character until they’ve actually been established in canon.

Also I’m loling at people who are upset that’s Korra’s not a lesbian. To be honest, I think that having a physically or otherwise strong female character who also happens to be a lesbean would be reinforcing stereotypes rather than breaking them down.

Korra is a great character; it takes a lot of skill to write a female lead who is likeable but also flawed, without being annoying.

However, I’m afraid that some fans may be putting her on a pedestal, especially the people talking about “how progressive” Korra is for being a main character who is female, muscular and darker skinned; that somehow she can do no wrong.

She is gonna have some major screw-ups in the series, and when that happens I’m afraid some of them are gonna cry racism and/or sexism for whatever reason.

Avatar is a great show, and Korra’s looking even better (at least in terms of animation) but y’all can get pretty batshit at times.

Every single artist (or at least too many) on tumblr draws this way I swear to god. It’s like some unholy fusion of shojo manga and Adventure Time.

Why? Why do you draw figures that are pear-shaped androgynous blobs? It’s not cute; it’s a shitty style. Joints exist…limbs aren’t made of spaghetti. Faces aren’t made of rubber. Men don’t have woman hips. Noses aren’t sharkfins.

Also, STOP MAKING THEM BLUSH ALL THE FUCKING TIME. NOBODY DOES THAT UNLESS THEY’RE DRUNK AND SOMETIMES NOT EVEN THEN.

Do you ever wonder why most art school students are women, yet the major art industry jobs are still held by men?
